Lorne Charles (Lorenzo) Iacobelli

November 20, 2012

Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Lorne Charles (Lorenzo) Iacobelli of Vancouver, B.C. on November 20, 2012.

Lorne was born in Trail, B.C. on November 14, 1936. He is survived by his sister, Laura LaPlante, nephews Jamie Graves, Dan LaPlante, Joe Lippa, and brothers-in-law John LaPlante and Angelo Lippa and several relatives in Italy and the US.

Lorne was predeceased by his parents Josephine and Ben and his sister Rosemary Lippa. As a young man he attended Calgary Tech (SAIT) to become a draftsman. He worked in the oil and gas industry for many years, and also was on the design team of the new Calgary Airport. He moved to Vancouver in 1970 to work for an architectural firm, and later went on to manage the “Fresgo Inn” in downtown Vancouver. He was also a talented musician, and his beautiful voice could be heard in several Vancouver night spots. Lorne had an outgoing personality and touched everyone he met with his great sense of humour and wit. You will be missed, big brother.
