It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Louisa (Louise) Pellegrin at the age of 87. Louise passed away peacefully at Columbia View Lodge on June 24, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband Ferro, her dear sister Joanne, and brothers Beppi and Dick. She leaves behind her son, Glenn (Delaine), daughter Donna (Alex), her cherished grandchildren Nicole (Tristan), Scott, Melissa, Lauren and greatgranddaughter Tessa.
Louise was born and raised in Trail, BC and spent her life there raising her family. Louise was devoted to her family & her family was the most important thing in her life. She was happiest when family was all together & took great joy in preparing wonderful meals for us all. She was a true homemaker, a wonderful cook/baker and took great pride in keeping a spotless, tidy home. She loved to garden and preserved much of the garden's harvest to be enjoyed in the winter months. In her quiet time she was an avid reader. She was a very compassionate individual and
enjoyed volunteering at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital. She also made the most of every opportunity to be with her family and many friends and enjoyed various activities over the years. Mom's endless love & compassion has been etched into our hearts for eternity.
The family wishes to thank the many friends and family for their love and support over the years and to the wonderful staff at Columbia View Lodge who lovingly cared for Mom (a.k.a. Nonnie) when we couldn't be there.
We cannot thank them enough.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish on Saturday, July 6th at 10:30 am with Father Harry Clarke, Celebrant. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
