On Monday June 26th Luigi Augustus Perri passed away under the loving care of his wife of 53 years, Ellen Perri. Luigi was born in 1937 in Bocchigliero in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of Southern Italy. He immigrated to Trail, BC in 1958 with his mother Serafina Perri (deceased) to join his brothers Antonio Marino (Adelina, deceased) and Saverio Perri (deceased). He is predeceased by his daughter Luciana Perri (Steve) and survived by his daughter Teresa (Mitch Ma),grandchildren Zachary(Ashley) Ma, Nichole Ma (Nick Woodall) and great grandchildren Paxton, Peyton and Wyatt, sister-in-law Maria Perri. He was loved by family and friends across Canada, Italy and Ireland. His garden was his place of pride and joy where he loved to offer his treasures to everyone. Luigi was a well know business man in the Kootenay’s running Columbia Beverages and F & W Wholesale in Nelson and Trail. Eileen and Luigi retired in Kelowna in 2003 they were active Rotarians and enjoyed dancing and Bocce picnics with friends. A Celebration of a Good Life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, July 7th at Corpus Christi Parish, 750 Rutland Road N.
