July 31, 1954 - March 26, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lynn Baron, beloved mother and grandmother, on March 26, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving sons.

Lynn was born on July 31, 1954, in Preeceville, Saskatchewan, and was one of eleven siblings. She pursued a career in nursing, dedicating her life to caring for others. She worked as an ICU nurse where she was a respected leader and mentor.

Lynn married John Saliken, and together they built a beautiful life, raising three sons: Michael (Lisa), David (Kailey), and Matthew (Marina). Her family was the centre of her world, and she cherished every moment with them. Lynn, known as 'Gigi' to her grandbabies, was a devoted grandmother to Solène, Sloane, Harrison, Shay, and Scarlett, who brought immense joy to her life. She was also looking forward to the arrival of her sixth grandbaby in May.

Throughout her life, Lynn lived in Castlegar, Halifax, Edmonton, Calgary, and Nanaimo before settling in Victoria by the ocean. She had a deep passion for art, writing, and travel, with a special love for France. She found great joy in bike rides, music, dance parties, and creating lasting friendships wherever she went.

Lynn's family is forever grateful for the love and support of her dear friend Arthur, who was by her side through many adventures, including co-authoring a book, traveling, writing, cycling, and sharing countless special moments. Arthur's care and companionship, especially during her two battles with cancer, were a source of great comfort to Lynn and her family.

In her final days, Lynn was surrounded by the love of her family and friends, enjoying long walks on the beach with her five sisters, sons, grandchildren and Arthur. She lived a full and vibrant life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Victoria, BC, at McCall Gardens this summer at a date to be announced."

Lynn's kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.
