It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Maria Pasin on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, with her children by her side.
Born to Santo and Albina Savian in San Biagio di Callalta, Italy on April 25, 1926, she immigrated to Canada in 1951 to join her husband Mario.
Mom enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening and was also a member of Trail's Colombo Lodge since 1969. She was a loving, wonderful wife and mother who always made sure her family was well taken care of with her delicious Italian cuisine (we were never late for dinner).
The passion and joy mom had for knitting and crocheting came through as she donated her time and energy to create over 100 doll outfits and blankets for People Loving People.
Maria was predeceased by her husband Mario of 54 years, infant daughter Lora, sister Elsa and the second love of her life Jack Vellutini.
Mom is survived by her son Albert (Patty), daughters Mayla (Larry), and Liliana (Chuck), grandchildren; Dainah (John), Dustin and Jade (Kelly), and great-grandchildren; Myah, Eva and Hunter, her brothers Marino, Mario and Juliano, sister Domitilla of Italy and numerous nieces and nephews.
Our Mother will be sadly missed and always remain in our hearts.
The family would like to give a very heartfelt thanks to the staff at Poplar Ridge for their care and compassion for Maria especially during her palliative time. The end of life care was a most precious gift they gave to our mother.
A private family service was held at "Carberry's Chapel" with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ was entrusted with arrangements.
