It with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Gram and GG, Lucille Flanders on Thursday April 12, 2018.

Lucille was born on November 7, 1926 in Chauvin, Alberta. She spent most of her childhood years in Alberta and came to BC in 1945. She met Jimmy in Hope and they married there in 1948. They moved to Fruitvale and eventually to Rossland where they lived for over 50 years and raised 5 children.

During her years in Rossland, Jimmy and Lucille operated the Rossland Taxi and she was active with the Meals on Wheels, Royal Canadian Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Seniors Society. She spent many years as the President of the Rossland Seniors Society.

Lucille loved to knit and spent endless hours creating, knitting, crocheting, and sewing projects using her crafty talents. Lucille loved playing bingo, canasta and was an excellent scrabble player.

Lucille was especially proud of her 5 grandchildren and cherished becoming a GG (great grandma) with her 4 Great grandchildren.

Lucille was a cancer survivor and baffled everyone by living with and battling an Aneurysm for 8 years beyond expectations.

Lucille is predeceased by her husband Jimmy, and her 5 brothers and sisters. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her brother Armand (Ann), sister-in-law Dorothy Flanders, and sister -in-law Shirley Poirier, her sons Lee (Kerry), Murray, Ronnie (Maureen) ,daughters Colleen Holm (Larry) and Bonnie Langman (Bill), her 5 grandchildren Sam Holm (Jenn), Elise Graham (Aynsley), Jeff Holm (Michelle), Reg Langman and Emily Langman, and her 4 great grandchildren Grant, Alex, James and Justine.
