October 2, 1940 - May 8, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Marjorie Pearl McLean on Saturday, May 8th, due to her second stroke. Her husband and daughter visited her at the hospital in the days prior to her passing and she was comfortable, had music and she knew they were there.
Born on October 2nd, 1940 to Joseph and Pearl Issel, Marjorie grew up in Rossland on a small farm with her siblings Richard (now deceased), Joseph, Norma, Lorraine, Maryann, Gary and Linda. All live in Trail with the exception of Lorraine.
Marjorie married Marvin McLean in 1961 and had their only daughter Susan. A few years later, she and her daughter moved to Vancouver where she worked for a glass shop and later in her career, she got a job with Telus where her daughter also worked. She retired at the age of 62 and they both moved to Vancouver Island.
In 2007 she decided to move back to Trail to be close to her family again. Then in 2009 she married Agit Banga (nickname Banjo) and became stepmother to Mindy, Jodi, Don and Tim.
She loved Elvis's music and collecting his memorabilia, watching hockey, animals and especially her family. Every year she travelled with her daughter so they could spend time together. They visited Graceland on two occasions, the last being in August, 2019 for Elvis Week.
She led a happy life, always wore lipstick, jewelry and had her hair nice. She was always smiling and friendly. Her family and friends will greatly miss her, but she will not be forgotten.
