May 5, 1933 - February 19, 2020
May Isobel Blatchford was born May 5th, 1933; in Lloydminster, SK.
May passed away peacefully on February 19, 2020, in Sechelt, B.C. after a courageous battle with cancer. She died on her own terms, at home, with her family by her side.
May leaves her four sons, Norman (Magdalena), Dennis (Nancy), Marten (Barbara), Robert (Donna), and one daughter Dena (Bruce) Nicolby. She also leaves her ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her three sisters Elaine, Winnie, Rosemary and her brother Joe. She is predeceased by her sons Barrie and David as well as her loving husband John (Bud) Blatchford. They are there to greet her with open arms.
May was incredibly proud of her family. She enjoyed large gatherings that brought everyone together. She loved to travel, garden and cook. May had a sharp sense of humour and was known for going to great lengths to pull off a practical joke.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the many people who helped with our Mother's care over the last year. A special thank you to the Sunshine Coast medical professionals for their excellent care. We are very grateful to friends and extended family for their heartfelt messages of support.
Cremation has already taken place. A celebration of May's life will be held in Kelowna in May.
