It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of May Victoria Leathard, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, on December 15, 2024, at the age of 83.

May was born on December 6, 1941, in Stanley County Durham England. She was a loving wife to Bob for 64 years and a devoted mother to Pauline (Jordy) Hunter, Peter (Rhonda) Leathard, Kevin Leathard, Karen (Dave) Ritter, Michael Leathard. Devoted Grandmother to Miranda (Mike) Morrisseau, Kalen Leathard, Danielle Jones, Joel Temperley, Austin Roach, Patience Ursulak, Alexis Shelstrom, Kaylee Leathard and Preston Leathard. Devoted Great Grandmother to Abbey (Nick) MacDonald, Ava Morrisseau, Carter Leathard, Jocelyn and Tyler Jones and Step grandmother to Aysha Hunter, Tatianna and Genesis Scott, David and Shayne Ritter. Her love for her family was boundless and she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. As a Grandmother May was a guiding light, offering unwavering support, affection, and care to her grandchildren who adored her deeply.

Throughout her life May was known for her strength, compassion and generosity. She touched countless lives with her selflessness. Her home was always filled with love and hospitality, and her presence was a source of comfort for all who knew her.

In addition to her family, May had a deep love for Jehovah God and telling others about him. She will always be remembered for her unwavering faith in the congregation and an example to all.

May is survived by her husband of 64 years Bob Leathard and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 2 grandsons, Nathan (1988) and Justin (2003).

A very special thank you to Dr. Janet Fisher, Home Health RN Danika Cominotto and home health workers for making May comfortable in her last few weeks.

A memorial service will held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 @ 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Beaver Valley.
