Michele Roberto DiVito

October 14, 1936 – March 4, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michele (Mike) DiVito.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Liz, children Richard (Ellyn), Cathy (Don) and Danny (Karen), sisters Lola Hanlon and Norma Caputo, seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents, son Michael and sister Anna Ferraro.

Mike had a very distinguished career at Cominco for 39 1/2 years where he started as a boilermaker and spent the last 20 years in Human Resources. He was also a very proud member of the Colombo Lodge.

Mike loved all sports, fishing, curling, hockey and especially golf. He had an amazing circle of friends and was well respected by everyone. But above all else

Mike loved FAMILY, he was a proud Father, Brother, Nono and Uncle. He loved having family over for dinner regularly, and get-togethers with his sisters, and he especially loved the famous “Rav” dinner on New Year’s Day.

Thank you to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital staff for their professionalism and wonderful care. A very special thank you to the Renal Department staff for their impeccable care and compassion they provided Mike over the past year.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 10:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish on Third Ave in Trail with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM has been entrusted with arrangements.
