In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike (Michael) Lesiuk on May 1, 2025.
Born to Michael Lesiuk and Margaret Moen on September 25, 1950, in Trail, BC, Mike was the third child of 12 siblings. Mike grew up in Shaver's Bench and in his younger years, was involved with the Air Cadets and eventually became a Commanding Officer (CO).
In April 1970, he began work with Cominco and was a 40-year gold member and he retired after 42 years. Shortly after retirement he started part-time work at the regional landfill and worked there for 8 years.
He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the 400 Club. Later on in life, he took up golfing and he really enjoyed the game. Mike was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #11 and held a few positions on the Executive.
In August 1992, Mike married Lauranne Sewell and almost made it to their 33rd anniversary before his passing.
Mike is survived by his wife Lauranne, children; Marcel (Janine), Eric and Deanna (Alan), stepchildren Tara Guesford (Nick) and Kelsey Guesford, grandchildren; Duncan, Emma and Gracey, his siblings; Stephen, Monica (Bob), Paul, Anne, Cecilia, Lenoard (Debbie), Gene (Diane), Nancy (Jeff), Claire (Tom) and Bernie as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, sister-in-law Patsy, brother Patrick and grandson Spencer.
The family would like to thank the ICU Doctors and Nurses for the wonderful care as well as the 3rd Floor Nurses.

As per Mike's wishes, no formal funeral will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Wayne Szopa of Clark's Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
