Bronca: Mirio, of Trail, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2011. He was born in Valdobbiadene, Prov. of Treviso, Italy on September 8, 1945.
He is survived by his daughter Sonia (Ray) McIsaac and his two grandsons, Michael and Luke; four sisters and one brother. He was predeceased by his parents and his two brothers.
Mirio immigrated to Canada in 1973 and worked at several different jobs across Canada until he settled in Trail in 1978 where he started work at Cominco and retired with Teck in 2005.
He enjoyed cooking, gardening, walking his dogs and watching his grandsons growing up and telling them how proud he was of them.
There will not be a funeral service as per Mirio’s request, but a casual a Celebration of Life will be held on July 9, 2011 at the McIsaac home at 665 Wellington Avenue in Warfield from 1 pm to 5 pm. Bill Strilaeff of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” has been entrusted with arrangements.
