It is with sadness we announce the passing of our mother Myrna at the age of 82.
Myrna was born in Trail and lived most of her life in Fruitvale where her life was rich with family and friends. She loved to read, knit, sew and was an avid gardener. Mom loved animals, even at a very young age she had a pet hen. In her latter years, she enjoyed her baby- Pearl and Mom knows she will be well cared for in her absence. Mom loved doing family history and collected many pictures and stories that showed her love for all things family.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and treasured the love and friendship of her church family and serving her Savior in a number of positions.
Myrna is survived by her children; Melanie (Roy), Erin (Stephen) and Kerry Anne, 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, her sister Gail and brother Roderick. She is predeceased by her parents Adam "Kelly" and Irene Grieve, her sister Claudia and her brother Randy.
Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the amazing staff at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, Columbia View Lodge, Hospice Volunteers and to Dr. Behrens for the care provided to Mom.
