It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and granny Jane. Jane 63 left this world peacefully in her home Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Survived by her loving husband of forty years, Ian McLeod. Her children; Stephanie (Michael) Parsons, Jay McLeod (Erika Fedorak) and her three grandchildren; Sara, Kaitlyn and Jaxxon. Mom Nancy Melenchuk, brothers Robert (Kim) Melenchuk, Jason (Pam) Melenchuk and sister Ebba McFayden.

Predeceased by her dad Stephen Melenchuk. Grandma Stella and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Jake and Jackie McLeod.

A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Jane was a strong, confident, yet humble lady who touched the lives of many. With her quick wit, great sense of humor and positive spirit, she was quick to win the hearts of everyone she met.

Prior to a seventeen year battle with multiple health issues, Jane loved spending time in her back yard, putting in hours of gardening; perfectly placing her many lawn ornaments and relaxing by her pond. Jane did beautiful cross stitch. She enjoyed walks and coffee dates with friends, going shopping and trips to the casino. She always looked forward to playing Yatzee with Jackie.

As time passed, Jane found herself having to stay closer to home. This was ok as it just meant more time for baking and spending time with family...her greatest love.

Jane’s last years were anything but easy. She was the most courageous fighter.

To Mom; You taught us love and how to fight. You gave us strength, you gave us might. A stronger person would be hard to find, and, in your heart, you were always kind. For all of us you gave your best. Now the time has come to rest. So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep. Your love in our hearts we’ll eternally keep.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Trail KP Hall 942 Eldorado Street (above Shoppers Drug Mart).
