Fraser, Norman William, passed away on March 19, 2011 in Trail, BC. He was born on June 30, 1925 in Stoughton, Saskatchewan. He started working at Cominco in 1948 as a pipe fitter and retired in 1984. He loved hunting, and camping and was a founding member of the Trail Alliance Church. He helped build both the original church on 5th avenue and the newer church in Glenmerry.

Norman is survived by his brother Len (Marie) Fraser, sister, Dorothy Sulsbury and children Linnette (Roger) Uhrynowich, Brent (Gudrun) Fraser, Lavonne (Gary) Brown, and Rebecca (Lance) Harrison. He had 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Norman had many nieces and nephews, and several sisters in law. He was predeceased by his wife, Bessie, his son, Gordon, a brother, Edwin and a sister Ruby.

Norman loved his family, God and his country. He served in WW II. He was the oldest son of five who was a help to his parents when times were tough in this fair land.

The service will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 11:00 am, at the Trail Alliance Church at 3365 Laburnum Drive. Donations would be appreciated in Norman’s memory to a charity of your choice. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services, “Carberry’s Chapel” has been entrusted with arrangements.
