Pasquale Cocchia

September 9, 1931 - June 21, 2024

Pasquale Cocchia was born September 9, 1931 in Atripalda, Italy. He was 92 years old but proudly told everyone that he was in his 93rd year.

His family moved to Santo Stefano Del Sole, Italy when he was a child and it was there that he met and married Concettina Romano on March 23, 1958. They emigrated to Canada shortly thereafter and settled in Trail, BC where they raised their family of 5 children. In 1996 they moved to Vancouver to be closer to their growing family.

Pasquale was an avid gardener, cook, winemaker, soccer fan, and music lover. Tomatoes, grapevines, figs, and fruit trees filled his yards and opera could often be heard throughout the neighborhood in East Trail. His family is so grateful for all the years they had with him.

Pasquale is survived by Concettina, his wife of 66 years, his children and their spouses Anita and Michael, Sergio and Wendy, Mario and Liz, Susanna and Rocky, and Johnny and Deanna, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A service will be held to celebrate Pasquale's life at Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church at 599 Keith Road, West Vancouver, BC on Friday, June 28th with a reception to follow.
