Patricia "Tricia" Butler passed away peacefully on Monday, August 9th, 2021 at the Columbia View Lodge. She was blessed with 85 years of life and she is now in the presence of the Lord Jesus.
Tricia was the eldest child and sister to twin brothers, Tom & Mike Butler. She was born on January 3rd, 1936 in Trail, BC, where she lived her entire life. Her 1st job was at the hockey rink working at the Smoke Eater's games selling hotdogs & popcorn. She also worked at the Bank of Montreal, the Eaton's Store for 25 years and at the Trail Alliance Church for 15 years before retiring.
Tricia loved to read, especially her Bible, bake, crochet, take photographs, spend time with her family, camping and going on scenic drives in the Kootenays. In her earlier years, she loved her frequent holidays to Victoria, BC to visit many family members & enjoyed picnics by the ocean.
She also loved her dog Joy, "Jo Jo". Joy made frequent visits to CVL and Tricia was overjoyed to see her.
Tricia was the best sister & Auntie we could ever ask for. She had a beautiful smile and a big heart. She showed her family & friends unconditional love and support. We have been very blessed to have her in our lives & she will be forever in our hearts.
She is predeceased by her parents Tom & Neil Butler and survived by her brothers Mike Butler & Tom (Fay) Butler, niece Cheryl (Dennis) Venturini, Shaun & Isabella, niece Michelle (Richard) Davis, Ryan (Reanna) Davis, Mila & Lincoln, Matt (Caitlin) Davis, Reya, Meagan Davis & niece Barb (Vito) Romano, Liam.
At Tricia's request, there will be a Graveside Service and all are welcome to join the family at 11 am on Monday, August 23rd at the Mountain View Cemetery. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM has been entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in her memory to the Trail Alliance Church. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Columbia View Lodge. You will all be remembered for the loving care that you provided to our beautiful Tricia.
