November 3, 1930 - December 12, 2016

Born in New Westminster to Ferdinand and Ruth Richter, Peggy was one of four daughters. Peggy married Vernon Jinkerson on September 16, 1948 and together moved to Trail in 1956 so Vern could further his career with B.C. Telephone. They bought a home in Warfield where and for the most part raised their 5 children; Patti, Ann (Paul), Carol (Allen), Kathy and Earl (Wendy). In 1974 they bought acreage and a new home on Columbia Gardens Road.

Peggy was pre-deceased by her parents and sisters; Rita, Norma, and Donna, husband Vern, sons-in-law; George and Mitch and granddaughter Meikayla. Peggy is survived by her five children, 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Her home, garden and family were her greatest source of pride and joy along with sitting in her breezeway in the summer having a great time conversing with her neighbours and passers-by alike. She had a terrific sense of humour, was an avid reader and worked on a variety of crafts over the years. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Peggy’s name may be made to the Greater Trail Hospice Society at Kiro Wellness Centre, Room 248, 1500 Columbia Ave, Suite 7, Trail, BC, V1R 1J9 or online at www.trailhospice.org
