Kranz: Peter, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2011 at the age of 81.
Born in Poland, he immigrated to Canada in 1949. Moving to Fruitvale, he worked for Nipkow’s Greenhouse for one year, then he was later employed by Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital as an orderly and operating room assistant. He worked at the hospital for 38 years. He was an excellent cook and gardener and enjoyed his visits to the Columbia View Lodge.
Peter is survived by his wife Kathleen Conlin; brother Alex (Carol), and two grown children; Karen and David.
There will not be a service at Peter’s request. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” has been entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in the memory of “Mindy the Poodle” to the SPCA at 7700 Hwy 3B, Trail, BC V1R 4X2 or to the charity of your choice.
Kathleen would like to thank Dr. McCoid, friends and neighbours who helped so much. Thanks to the staff of the 3rd floor at the hospital and the Homemakers and a very special than you to the staff of the ICU.
