Polly Marozoff of Castlegar, BC passed away peacefully with family by her side at the age of 92 at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC.
Polly was born on December 15, 1931, in Glade, BC to parents Edward and Pearl Koftinoff. She was the eldest of three children.
Polly married John Marozoff in 1952 at Krestova, BC and had three children together, Walter, Linda and Robert.
Polly started working at a young age, cooking and baking in camps, as well as orchard and fruit picking. Later on, she waitressed and helped her husband John with interior house painting. Polly was a long-time bowler and her other hobbies were sewing, crocheting, making and sewing crafts and gardening. Polly was well known for her borsch, pies and cookies.
Polly is survived by her children, Walter (Allison) of Edmonton, AB, Linda Mulder of Castlegar, BC and Robert of Trail, BC. Her grandchildren, Jason Mulder of Trail, BC and Shelby Marozoff (Braden Staudacher) of Vancouver, BC. Her great-granddaughters Mila and Nora Mulder of Trail, BC and her brother, Sidney (Cindy) Koftinoff of Grand Forks, BC.
Polly was predeceased by her parents Edward and Pearl Koftinoff as well as her husband, John and her brother Nick Koftinoff.
A funeral service was held at Krestova Hall on Friday, May 31st at 10 am with burial at Krestova Cemetery. Castlegar Funeral Chapel is in care of arrangements.
