September 18, 1929 - September 28, 2018
Ray will be missed by his wife of 64 years Jean, daughter Bev (Mike), sons Glenn (Chris) and Rob (Sue). Our loss will be felt by his sister Alice and all her family. His jokes and mischievous smile will be missed by his grandchildren Drew (Laura), Lee (Krystal), Matthew (Ellie) and Dustin, Sydney and Jenna (Matt). He will also be missed by his great grandchildren Lily, Charlie, Hayden, Ruby, Ella and Harper.

Born in Grenfell in 1929, Ray became a member of the RCMP. He married Jean Chapman from Killarney where he was posted. Three children and travels across Canada followed, as Ray's postings were from Vancouver to Ontario.

Ray was a keen golfer and also loved baseball which he played right up into his early 80s! And he was always up for a game of cards!

Ray had an incredible sense of humour and would have family and friends in fits of laughter on most occasions!

Respecting Ray's wishes there will be no service.

Ray will travel to Regina where he will be interred at the RCMP Depot Cemetery and will take his 'Last Walk Across the Square' where he did his training as a young Mountie.

Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements. You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence by visiting the family's register at www.myalternatives.ca.

Our huge thanks to the doctors, nurses and all the staff at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital for their amazing care of Ray during his month there.

Rest in peace, our big strong handsome Mountie... and then have a game of golf with Barry, a few jokes with Malcolm and catch up with Jakey Hack to get up to a bit of mischief... you were good at that!
