Richard Arnold Lucht was born in the Trail Regional Hospital on August 18, 1960. He passed away, suddenly but peacefully, on January 22, 2017. Rick grew up in Fruitvale.

Rick is survived by his brother Gord (Monika), sister Debbie (Maurice), nieces; Jennifer and Jenny, nephews; Justin, Jesse and Daniel, great-niece Jasmine, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, his girlfriend Karen and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Rosalie and Arnold Lucht.

Rick’s life was all about fishing and hunting. He was famous for saying, “Work is overrated. Hunting and fishing is where it’s at.” If Rick wasn’t hunting and fishing, his favourite past times were picking huckleberries with his brother and sister or going out for lunch. Rick believed in leading a simple life, and his sense of humour and big heart will never be forgotten by the many friends and family that hold him dear.
