Robert (Coke) Koyanagi passed away at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, B.C. on December 8 at the age of 83.

Coke was born on July 11, 1933 in Kelowna. He was a member of the Carpenters’ Union. He loved to play many sports - catcher in baseball, goalie in hockey, goalie in soccer, bowling, mountain road car racing, snowmobile racing, golf, fishing and curling. He was a keen amateur astronomer and in his earlier years was a private pilot.

Coke is survived by his wife Lucy, son Kevin, and grandchildren Eric and Emily all of Trail, B.C He is also survived by his sister Connie (Art) Komori of Kamloops, and many nephews and nieces.

Coke was predeceased by his parents; mother Hatsue, father Shigeo, sister Isao Mori and two young dearly loved nephews Steven and Wesley Komori.

At Coke’s request there will be no memorial service. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
