After a brief illness, Wayne Magee passed away on October 30, 2016. He was predeceased by his parents Bob and Florence Magee, brother Darryl, son Jamie, and nephew David Smith. Wayne is survived by his wife Margaret, son David Smithson, grandson Chase, sisters; Nyhla (Ken), Faye (Henning) and many nephews and nieces.
Except for a brief time in the air force, Wayne spent his life in Trail. As a youth he was active in baseball and later in life became an avid fisherman. He worked many years for West Kootenay Power/Fortis. He was also very active in the Royal Canadian Legion, including serving a term as president.
He will be sadly missed by family and many friends. There will be no service by request. Alexandra Butts of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements. As an expression of sympathy donations to the SPCA, 7700 3B Hwy, Trail, BC V1R 4X2, would be greatly appreciated.
