On December 25, 2013 while surrounded by his family, Ronald Alan Konkin won his 4 year battle with cancer and is now whole and healed with his Father in Heaven.
Ron was born in Trail, British Columbia on May 15, 1961 to Peter and Doris Konkin. He met his wife Tina in the course of ministry and they were married in 1981.
Ron was a man who lived on purpose and shared the love of Christ with many. His purpose statement was “I am a strong worthy man confidently instilling in others their value and worth, and helping them discover their true potential, so they can inspire those they touch to do the same.”
As founder of the Relationship BootCamp, he influenced and played a key role in the healing of many lives, marriages and families.
Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son. He is survived by his wife Tina, daughters Jenny (31), Mia (9), son Josh (28), daughter-in-law Mary (28), grand-daughter Scarlett (1), sisters Esther and Donna and brother Tom.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 4:30pm at Coastal Church in Vancouver, BC. A second memorial will be livestreamed at www.influencechurch.org on Jan 5th at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Life Exchange in support of the healing of families through Relationship BootCamp in honour of Ron’s life, work and legacy.
