Ron passed away peacefully at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on October 31, 2016 with family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Ron was born in Victoria, BC on Dec 13, 1933 to Ted and Dorothy Hinchcliffe.
He was pre deceased by his parents, and his first wife Shirley in 2002.
His survivors include his wife Barb Armour of Warfield, BC, son Steven (Francie), grandsons Eric and Bryan Hinchcliffe of Warfield, BC, daughter Sharon (Rob), granddaughter Ariel Merriam of Victoria, BC as well as step children and step grandchildren of the Armour and McKinnon families.
Ron loved cars, camping and fishing. He had a great sense of humour and will be missed by all who knew him.
At Ron’s request there will be no service. Alexandra Butts of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements. Donations can be made in Ron’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca.
