August 10, 1931 - December 25, 2018
Our family is sad to announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather and great-grandfather Ronald Alexander Milne. Ron was born in Trail on August 10, 1931 and passed away at Rosewood Village on December 25, 2018 at the age of 87.

Ron retired as General Foreman E&M at Teck after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Trail Pipe Band for twenty years and a member of the Trail Caledonian Society. He taught many new pupils of the Trail Pipe Band, including many of his grandchildren, how to play the snare drum.

He loved everything Scottish! During his retirement, he kept busy with his grandkids delivering the Trail Times, watching basketball, soccer and field hockey games, highland dancing and piping competitions. He was a very devoted and loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather!

Ron is survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma and his children Ken (Debbie), Jim (Barb) and Christine Piva (Allan); his grandchildren Tyler (Stephanie), Breanne, Derek (Rachel), Scott (Kelsea), Graham (Stephanie), Sabrina (Tim) and Brittni as well his great-grandchildren Hannah, Amelia, Quinn, Grayson, Logan, Giovani, Attilio and Vincenzo. He will also be missed by his brother Brian, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rosewood Village for their tremendous care and loving support of their parents over the past few years.

A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Trail on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11 am with Reverend Meridyth Robertson officiating. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Ron's memory may be made to the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital Health Foundation Emergency Room Campaign at 1200 Hospital Bench, Trail, BC, V1R 4M1 or online at www.kbrhhealthfoundation.ca
