It is with heavy hearts we announce that Sally Browell passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 9, 2017 at the age of 73. She was born in Tisdale, Saskatchewan and moved to Gray Creek as a child.
Sally is survived by her loving husband Tom of 52 years; her children Sheri, Scott (Melanie), Erin; 11 grandchildren Michael (Jessica), Leah (Scott), Tommy, Amy, Renee, Ryan, Trevor, Jesse, Aidan, Cali and Alexis; one great-granddaughter Lainey; brother Peter (Marilyn), sisters Lynne (Ralph), Alanna (Peter) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father William, mother Nancy (Jim), brother Bill and sister Jean.
Sally was a kind hearted, strong willed, brave woman; she fought a courageous four-year battle with cancer and never complained. She was an excellent cook, and enjoyed her time spent with family. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, gardening, and singing in the Italian choir.
Our family would like to express many thanks to Dr. Scotland, Dr. McCoid, Dr. Neil and the wonderful nurses and staff in oncology and on third floor for their compassionate care through this very difficult time.
As per Sally’s request there will be no funeral, but a family gathering at a later date. Bill Clark of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to the KBRH Health Foundation at 1200 Hospital Bench, Trail, BC, V1R 4M1 or online at www.kbrhhealthfoundation.ca
