Wright: Sarah passed away on December 3, 2010 peacefully at Columbia View Lodge in comfort by all who met her needs and showered her with her love and kisses, and the best of care. Sarah was born in Vandura, SK on March 12, 1915.

Mum was predeceased by her husband Art, beloved son Ed, two tiny grandsons, all of her brothers and sisters, and many, many of her friends. She is survived by her sons Don and John, and daughters Darlene and Margot, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

Mum loved her faith and family unconditionally. She was a simple lady, not a material girl in any way. So I will make this simple also. As a friend just said to me, you never had to make an appointment to stop in at our house. You were always welcomed and there was always enough food for whomever. Mum was also an excellent cook and baker, and who doesn’t like fresh bread, butter and home made jam. Her passion was sewing and she made many wedding dresses, which she loved to remake, remodel, and mend. Mum would sit at the sewing machine for hours. Her hands were never idle and she worked very hard all her life. She deserves to rest now.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held at the Montrose Hall on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Sarah’s memory may be made to Columbia View Lodge, 2020 Laburnum Drive, Trail, BC V1R 4N2.

Many thanks to the doctors and staff at Beaver Valley Clinic and Rosewood Village for care and love.
