Naccarato: Serafina of Trail passed away at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on January 23, 2011. She was born in Grimaldi, Cosenza Italy on June 9, 1932.
Serafina loved her family and friends, and enjoyed cooking for them. She was very proud of her family. Serafina and her husband Frank enjoyed their visits to Deep Lake in Washington. She was a member of the Sorelle Italo Canadese Society
Serafina is survived by her husband Francesco, son Antonio (Brenda), daughters Maria (Mark) and Lidia (Jannie), grandchildren Nicole, Grant, David, Joanna, Glen, James and Sofia, as well as great-grandchildren Cooper and Tanner. She was predeceased by her sons Mario and Santo, and grandson Joseph.
A prayer service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Father Matthieu Gombo will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady on Friday, January 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Bill Clark of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
