Sharon Anne Woods was born on September 14, 1942 in Trail, BC and passed away with family by her side on November 16, 2021 in Trail, BC.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Annie and Bud Benedict, her inlaws, Gordon and Rachel Woods, her brother Vernon and brother Jimmy, brother in law Barrie and Sister in law Jackie and grandchild baby boy Woods.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Leonard, daughter Kelly (Dominic), son Jay, and grandchildren, Tyler, Dallas and Michael. Sister Donna (Bill) and brother Roy. Brother-in-law David (Elizabeth), sister-in-law Kathy, Bill (Sue), Daryl (Nola) and Kim (Sharon), and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom grew up in Annabelle and Genelle, BC. She married Len in 1963 and started their life together. She spent hours with Leonard at various ball fields throughout BC being the scorekeeper while Leonard played. She worked at Genelle School for many years. Sharon also worked at the Genelle post office for many years and would always greet people with a cheery smile and hello.
She loved her family and grandkids very much, always lending a helping hand and loved watching her grandkids at the rink or soccer field or wherever they needed her. She loved baking, not just for us, but various people in the community. She will be forever in our hearts.
