November 18, 2021
Sharon passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on November 18, 2021. She was born in Nelson to Louie and Olive Anderson and grew up in Salmo.
After becoming a nurse she worked at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital in Rossland and in 1978 Sharon and her husband John moved their family to Rossland where they have lived happily for 43 years. Sharon had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She led a very active life. She enjoyed travelling, was an avid golfer, thoroughly enjoyed playing bridge with the ladies and was always up for a game of poker with her Poker Pals. She was a member of the Rossland Legion and helped out at the Rossland Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband and soul mate John Noakes, son Troy, daughter Jane (Shorty), son Duane, brother Bob (Alice), grandchildren; Tyrell (Lyric), Kailyn (Devon), Troy and Taya and great-grandchildren Ella and Olivia. She was predeceased by her father Louie Anderson, mother Olive Anderson Schulz, and brother Gary.
As an expression of sympathy, please make donations to the Rossland Food Bank. https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/rossland-food-bank/
