Black, Shayne Rutherford of Fruitvale B.C. Feb. 25,1950-June 2, 2013
Shayne died suddenly on June 2nd at Trail Regional Hospital with his family and many friends by his side.
He was born in Trail and was a resident of Fruitvale at the time of his death. He was predeceased by his father Geordy, his mother Ruby, and his father in-law Tony Amoroso. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharlaine, of 41years, his son Braeden (Melina Black), and his 4 sisters, Beverly Ahyee, Georgette Black, Georgena (Ancil Dunbar), and Joyce Black. Also by 11 nieces and nephews, and 10 grand nieces and nephews.
Shayne had a huge passion for the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping and was happiest when sitting in his boat on the water, or sleeping in the woods.
He was the owner/operator of All Star Carpet Care for 21 years. His customers high regard for him was a reflection of the quality of service he gave.
He had the ability to make friends wherever he went. To those that knew him he was an uncle, to any that needed him he was a father. He had a deep love for his family, his many friends but his greatest love was for his God, Jehovah. He worked tirelessly as an elder for the brothers and sisters in the Beaver Valley Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
His loving personality was molded by his love, trust, and faith in Jehovah. He gained strength from knowing Jehovah as his personal friend.
He was a husband, a father, a son, a brother, and a friend who will be greatly missed by all. We will all miss his goofy sense of humor and his laughter.
We would like to extend a special thanks to both the ER and ICU staff of Trail for their exceptional and dignified care of Shayne. A special thank you to Dr. Peachell and Dr. Mountain for their extraordinary compassion and care for Shayne and his family.
A memorial service will be held at the Cominco Gym on Saturday June 8, 2013 at 3:00pm, everyone welcome.
