Susan Ellen Reid, age 60, passed away peacefully at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital on December 13, 2018 surrounded by family and friends.
Susan was born in Coleman, Alberta. She was raised by parents Wylie and Lillian Godfrey with five other sisters. The family moved to Burnaby, BC when Susan was young. She was a tomboy at heart, playing baseball and practicing KungFu, thus her nickname" KungFu Sue".
She met David Reid, the love of her life whom she now is reunited with. They raised three amazing boys being a very close family. Susan's house was always open for those in need. She was a caretaker, mother, a good friend and had a spiritual understanding that made her special. She had a passion for music that defined her.
She is predeceased by her mother Lillian and sister Gail who passed in 2018 as well as a sister Marion. She is survived by her sisters, Ann, Donna and Carol, her three sons, Joshua Reid (Michele Peters) Nathan Reid (Brittany Walsh, grandchildren Bria, Bowen) and Jordan Reid (Wendy Castellanos).
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at the Trail Hospital and a special thanks to "Jolene Bruce", a very special nurse to the family.
There will be a celebration of life in the spring. Brent Long of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM has been entrusted with arrangements.
