January 7, 1957 - February 19, 2025
In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness we share that Ted "Doze Man" Morrison, age 68, passed away peacefully at home on February 19, 2025 with loved ones at his side. His departure comes as a devastating shock and is deeply felt by his family and countless others who knew him.
Ted, known by most as "Doze Man", leaves behind his wife Heather of 47 years, his children Tricia (Rick), Jared (Kim), Corie (Justin) and Nicole (Olivier), and his grandchildren who he adored. As he joins his father Edward, mother Una, and brother Larry in rest, we take solace knowing he is at peace.
Born in Trail on January 7, 1957, Ted lived his rambunctious young life in beautiful Rossland. After high school, Ted graduated from Selkirk College's Professional Driving Training Program which laid the foundation for becoming a very skilled equipment operator. Throughout his life, Ted worked at many companies - Dirt Cheap Digging, Emcon, Kryski Brothers, Maglio Construction, Salmon Arm Crushing, and finally Impact Equipment where he became part owner, later retiring in 2019. He was an extremely hard worker and took pride in a job well done.
Ted enjoyed the outdoors. In his early years, he never missed a day skiing at Red Mountain. He loved to fish, hunt, boat, quad, and anything else he could get his hands on. He owned many 'toys' and could be heard miles away blasting tunes and revving an engine. One of his favorite places was Woodbury Resort, camping with family and friends. He was "the best Papa in the whole, wide world" according to his grandchildren, who he loved to spoil.
Ted was strong willed and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and unique sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full of information, knowledge gained through all of his life experiences.
Ted will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. Please join us in a celebration of life which will be held at the Trail Legion on Saturday, April 12 at 1PM. Andreas Schmitz of Clark's Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross in memory of Ted.
Thank you to all the wonderful nurses and care aids who made it possible to keep Ted home during his illness. And a special thank you to Tricia Doyle for her dedication and tenderness. Your support is deeply appreciated.
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence at the family's online register at www.clarksfuneral.ca
