It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, and Great-Great-Grandma, Thelma Lucille Bishop (Palm) on June 5, 2017 at Poplar Ridge.
Thelma was born on October 21, 1919 at Hilltop, B.C. She was the 11th child of 12 children born to August & Ida Palm.
Thelma loved golf, curling and softball. She loved that her grandchildren and great grandchildren were involved in sports. Thelma was quick with her one-liners and always had a smile for you. Also, she never hesitated to take a friends’ or families’ money at cards.
Left to carry on her memory are her children: son, Jim (Sharon) Bishop and daughters Barbara (Chip) Taylor and Donna Bishop; Grandchildren: Barry (Lorali) Taylor, Heather (Tony) Dickie, Andy (Sarita) Taylor, Jennifer (Richard) Taylor, Patricia (Norm) McPhail, Christopher (Kate) Bishop, Christine (Mike) Bartsoff, Chad Stewart; as well as 17 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Granddaughter.
Many thanks to the Nurses and Staff at Poplar Ridge for the care during Thelma’s stay. A special thank you to Dr. Dryden for all the care and support you gave Thelma and the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, to which Mom was a devoted volunteer.
