Taylor – Thomas Clifton “Tongo” of Trail, BC, passed away Monday February 6, 2012 while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta Mexico. He will be deeply missed by his much loved wife of 47 years, Anne, their children Darryl (Cathy Manna), Jason (Carrie Reilly) and Tracy (Kory) Bahris. His wonderful grandchildren, Evan, Brandon, Mitchell Taylor, Josh, DJ, Hannah Manna, Maeve and Owen Taylor-Reilly, Dustin Bahris and great granddaughter Jayme Lee Taylor. Also left to mourn are many sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Percy and Mildred Taylor of Rossland, brothers Lyle and Ronald, sisters Audrey Page and Ruth Taylor.

Cliff “Tongo” Taylor is well known for his love of the Montreal Canadians, even when they were losing along with the LA Dodgers. He was a hockey and baseball enthusiast and would love to share his collection with any who would want to see it.

Since the 1980’s Cliff would like to escape the winter with his wife Anne to Mexico and many fond memories were made with close friends and family while on vacation there. He enjoyed bartering for the best deal and if all else failed he would try to trade them something of his own.

All who knew Cliff “Tongo” would say he would love practical jokes, pick on them for something or other and give out nicknames. He has given us many wonderful memories and many laughs. He will be deeply missed. The family would like to specially thank Wayne and Gaye Byres for being with our mom and supporting her in Mexico and bringing her safely home to her family.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 13 at 2 PM at the Trail Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 3375 Laburnum Dr.
