Tonino 'Tony' Lucrezi

In Loving Memory ~ Tonino (Tony) Lucrezi passed away at age 85, at Columbia View Lodge (CVL) in Trail, BC on November 27, 2021.
Tony was born in Fontecchio, L'Aquila Italy.
Tony arrived in Canada on March 6, 1957, worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway in locations like South Slocan, Yahk and Tadanac, as well as employed for over thirty years at Cominco (Teck) from 1964 to 1997, in both Operator and various Oiler positions. Tony married Angeline in St. Anthony's Church in Trail, celebrating 58 years together.
Tony loved time with family, his wife's cooking, gardening, wine making, window gazing, Italian banquets, dancing and keeping busy with jobs around the house and yard. Tony was a member of the Societa Cristoforo Colombo Lodge.
Tony is survived by his wife Angie, four children Delia Sawicki (Dan), Louise (John), Dean (Lori), Paul (Amy); nine grandchildren: Johnny, Louie and Sammy Sawicki, Megan and Caitlyn Adams, Joshua (Alex) and Dominick Lucrezi, Teo and Colby Lucrezi; as well as nephews/ nieces including Pierino (Leslie), Luciano (Bev) and Linda Cocco, cousins and great nephews/ nieces and extended family in Italy.
He was predeceased by his sister Pasqualina (Ludovico) Cocco, mother Gina, father Luigi and infant brother Domenico.
A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish in Trail, BC, on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11 am with Father Francis dela Cruz, Celebrant. A private graveside service will be held afterwards for family members. Al Grywacheski of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation ServicesTM has been entrusted with arrangements.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Tony's memory to the Dementia Society or any Cancer Foundation.
Thank you to Bev Cocco, nurses and staff at CVL, those who were able to visit Dad in the lodge, and the loving support of dear family and friends.
