Victor Stanley (Blackie)Bridge, a long time resident of Beaver Falls, passed away at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital with his family by his side. He was born in Nelson, BC on February 11, 1931.


Vic was a long time employee at Cominco and worked as an operator in zinc melting. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying gardening, crib games, and spending time with his family.


Vic was predeceased by his wife Rita in 2007 and daughter Cindy Verbeek in 1995; two sisters Margaret and Alice; and his parents Stan and Pearl Bridge. He is survived by his daughters Shelley and Susan, and his son David; his special friend Jeannette and his best friend Boomer; brother Harold and sister Inez; as well as numerous grand and great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.


By Vic’s request, there will be no service. Al Grywacheski of Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” is entrusted with arrangements.
