ROSA: Vittoria of Trail, BC passed away on June 5, 2011 at the Columbia View Lodge. She was born in Roccapreturo, A’Quila, Italy on September 16, 1919.
Vittoria and her husband Guido emigrated to Canada with their three sons in 1959.
She enjoyed cooking, knitting, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She worked at the Crown Point Hotel as a dishwasher and was a long time member of the Italo Canadese Lodge and Mount Carmel Society.
Vittoria was a very devoted mother and is survived by her three sons and one daughter; Joe (Wendy) and family, Ross (Gina) and family, Jazz (Dawn) and family, Gabriella McDonogh (John) and family, and also by numerous nieces and nephews both in Canada and Italy. She is predeceased by her husband Guido, and four sisters-two in Canada and two in Italy.
A service will be held at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at 3 pm. Reverend Gerald Craig OSM, Cap. will be officiating. Bill Clark with Personal Alternative Funeral Services “Carberry’s Chapel” has been entrusted with arrangements.
