It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Walter Hnatiuk on June 22nd, 2011 in Vernon, BC.
Walter was born July 28th, 1936 in Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Louise; his parents, George and Victoria; siblings: Mary, Roseline, Andrew, Edward, and Albert.
Left to mourn his passing are his children: Russell (Corrine) Hnatiuk, and Ruth Anderson; grandchildren: Larissa, Eric, Katrina, and Vanessa; brothers, Orest (Linda) and Wilfred (Winnie), and special friend, Tina Wedzinga; numerous nieces, nephews and their families in his close knit neighbourhood.
There will be a Celebration of Walter’s Life on Tuesday, July 5th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Pleasant Valley Funeral Home with Rev. Lorraine Powell officiating. A reception will follow in the Pleasant Valley Tea Room.
