Surrounded by her family, Yvonne Baril (nee Thompson) passed away on April 24, 2019, at Augustine House Residence for Seniors at Ladner, B.C., at the age of 91 years. Yvonne was born in Haileybury, Ontario and spent of her early years there and in Noranda, Quebec. She later went to Macdonald College at McGill University graduating with a degree in Biology/Home Economics before becoming a teacher at the J. Lloyd Crowe Secondary School in Trail, B.C. where she met her future husband Richard (Dick) Baril.
Yvonne was predeceased by her husband Dick. She is survived by her children, David (Angeles), Leslie and John (Cynthia), grandchildren Devon and Liam; and extended family Justin (late Diana). Yvonne is also survived by her sister Pat (late Gordon) and predeceased by her sister Joan (late Bob). And survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
At Yvonne's request, there will be no service. She will be interred beside her beloved husband Dick in the Mountain View Cemetery in Trail, BC. If you would like to make a donation in Yvonne's name, please consider the Arthritis Society of Canada or any charity close to your heart.
