Do reasons behind riot run deeper?

Now that every Canadian has had an opportunity to wrongly, (by their own admission), explain the events in Vancouver, that gave them such a fright, namely the conclusion of the hockey service for all denominations, perhaps we should peruse our own conclusions.

Now that every Canadian has had an opportunity to wrongly, (by their own admission), explain the events in Vancouver, that gave them such a fright, namely the conclusion of the hockey service for all denominations, perhaps we should peruse our own conclusions.

At first it was very clear who the culprits were, by paying close heed to our leaders, our pastors within the police establishments.

They claimed in total confidence that no fans could possibly be involved, that in fact it was the work of dare, I say it, “criminals.”

Of course that theory (in hindsight) was quickly abandoned when they learned that they were indeed implicating the offspring of some of the leading lights of the mainland community, young offspring of the boomers who had until now been painfully and carefully segregated from criminal activities, and so that would never do.

Nevertheless, the explanations for the riot must be made, and so the ongoing theories continue to ricochet around the room, bouncing off the bald pates of many of those boomers within range.

So far there seems to be one common thread of agreement, namely that the youth were some pissed off.  Moreover this condition has been attributed to the loss of the games to the Bruins, yet that does not seem to add up since agreement has also been reached that they were not fans of hockey.

Is it possible that there is a deeper reason for the hostilities of these Canadian youth?

Would it possibly have anything to do with a subconscious realization that their parents and even their grandparents, irrespective of how professional they perceive themselves to be, have actually sold their kids short?

Do these kids, at a subconscious level believe that their parents have been reapers of the bounty, sellers of all natural resources, and rapers of the mother earth, polluting everything they touch in order to buy their excesses – their California-style rancheros, and their BMWs leaving very little for the future of their own children?

Could that be the reason for the rage? Well, we may never know. We may instead choose to continue to obfuscate reality by continuing to compare this riot with the demonstration at the G20 meeting in Toronto?

Of course we could always ask for the opinion of one our more perspicacious organizations within the country, the same who in the beginning identified the rioters as only criminals and thugs.

And that would be none other than the RCMP.
