Dog problem stems from owners

"It’s not really a dog problem, more of an irresponsible owner problem."

It’s not really a dog problem, more of an irresponsible owner problem.

Some people may not think West Trail is prime real estate, but to some of us that take pride in our area, these streets are our front yards and neighborhoods.

We have a nice tree lined street up in the Warren Street area that some think it’s a great place to walk their dogs but not a great place to be responsible and clean up after them. Many of us have spent a lot of time and money to try and beautify, clean up, upgrade and turn this area around only to have some with dogs use it as a bathroom and a garbage dump for their pop/beer cans and cigarette butts.

All of this has become worse and more evident since the snow melted.

This strip of road has a great view, a nice evening breeze and should be able to be enjoyed by all without having to look at and leapfrog over piles of dog do and sidestep hoards of cigarette butts.

Yes I will clean up your mess as I always do … But come on, take some pride and ownership.
