Great support for Terry Fox Run

An update about Sunday’s successful Terry Fox Run in Trail.

Just an update about Sunday’s Terry Fox Run in Trail following a wonderfully successful day at Gyro Park in Trail.

Well over 250 participants and over $10,500 raised for cancer research, over $500 more than in 2011.

The weather and temperatures were absolutely beautiful in the park.

This year’s firemen tug-of-war was won by the powerful team from Teck Emergency Services as they continue back and forth wins with the Regional Fire Services.

Once again in the kids versus the Trail Smokies tug-of-war, the kids were victorious in a very competitive and hard fought tug.

All in all it was a hugely successful day.

Almost 10,000 Terry Fox events will take place in Canada this month and in a large part thanks to people like yourselves, Trail can make the claim that we have had a Terry Fox event every year since the first year 1981.

Thanks very much for your support.
