Kudos to local team at provincials

"The competition at the Tier 2 level is elite and this team finished the season with a winning record against this competition"

I had opportunity to attend the Pee Wee Tier 2 BC Provincial hockey championship held in Salmon Arm during spring break.

Our Greater Trail representative despite a 0-3 record performed well. Two of their losses were heartbreakers losing by one goal in the final minutes.

The competition at the Tier 2 level is elite and this team finished the season with a winning record against this competition.

The skill level of today’s young players is generally accepted to be considerably improved over past generations, however one aspect that hasn’t kept pace with this progress and possibly regressed is their work ethic/compete ability.

The coaching staff inspired this team to outwork/outcompete their opposition game in and game out all season. This team, players, coaches and manager should be very proud of their season.
