Laurie Charlton has made very serious accusations against the City of Rossland Building Inspector. All the accusations posed have been addressed in writing to Mr. Charlton. The actions of the employee are most professional, and all allegations are unfounded. The unfounded allegations may appear to be attempts to destroy employees professional credibility.
It is not uncommon to ask of an individual making allegations, that they be provided in writing. I believe anyone reading this would expect that they be able to respond to accusations made in writing, not to political agendas or hearsay.
Imagine that your employer questioned your credibility in public. Imagine it is questioned in a letter to the editor. The actions of Laurie Charlton may have extremely serious financial implications to our City.
There is potential for significant legal costs as well as Human Resource issues that may place Rossland in a much less than optimum operational position. I will not be responding further in the press on this most serious of matter.
