The Jan. 10 letter to the editor, Bridge Referendum: Voters Beware. It was the most informative letter I have read in the Times.
It mentions bad real estate deals the city makes – buy high, sell low.
The city does a poor research job, for example the Aquatic Centre, Violin Lake . . . everything costing twice as much as they say.
Now they are saying a new bridge will cost $20 million. With the cost of removing the old bridge, $30 million will be more like it.
So taxpayers in Trail, beware, your property taxes will go very high.
