Today, Aug. 23, is Trail voters last opportunity to have a say about a future walking bridge in the Silver City. The polling place, located in the Trail Memorial Centre's MacIntyre Room is open today until 8 p.m. Irene M. Smyth was one of a steady stream of people passing through the voting place this morning. Smyth's grandfather ran the ferry that used to connect Trail shore-to-shore back in the day, and the lifelong Trail resident said her family was the first to move to East Trail once the Old Trail Bridge was constructed.
