On a rainy Monday

On a rainy Monday, the first day of spring break, 10 young ladies chose to stay in class from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Trail aquatic centre. The girls were learning how to care for infants and young children in instructor Victoria Gladue’s Babysitter Training Course. Youth between the ages of 11 and 15 can take the course to learn child care, injury prevention and basic first aid to become a certified babysitter. Gladue pointed out that this was the first class in a long while that didn’t have any boys enrolled. Sheri Regnier photo
